HunterLex is a legal recruiting firm based in Florida. We place attorneys and support staff with law firms. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

What we collect
When you fill in our contact form. Your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message field. That is the whole form. We do not ask for anything else.
When you apply for a role or send us your details as a candidate. Your CV and the information in it. That usually means your work history, your qualifications, your bar admissions, your contact details, and anything else you choose to tell us. You give us this so we can put you forward for roles.
When you hire us as a firm. The details of the role you want filled, and contact information for the people at your firm we work with.
Basic technical information. Like almost every website, our host records standard server information such as IP addresses when pages are requested. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
We want to be specific here, because a lot of privacy policies are vague about it.
- We do not run advertising or tracking cookies on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no third-party tracking script.
- We do not sell your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not send your CV to a firm without telling you. Candidates decide which roles they are put forward for.
Why we use your information
We use what you give us to do the job you came to us for:
- To reply to you when you contact us
- To match candidates with roles and firms with candidates
- To submit a candidate to a firm, with that candidate's agreement
- To keep in touch about roles that may suit you
- To keep our own business records
Who we share it with
Law firms and employers, when we put a candidate forward, and only with that candidate's agreement.
Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, our email provider, and the recruiting software we use to manage placements. They only get what they need to provide their service, and they are not permitted to use it for anything else.
Anyone we are legally required to share it with, for example in response to a lawful request from a court or a regulator.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate and client information for as long as we are working together, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can contact you about future roles and keep proper business records. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will delete your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Show you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop contacting you about roles
Email [email protected] and we will handle it. There is no form to fill in and no charge.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will honor those rights whether or not they strictly apply to you.

Our articles sometimes link to other sites. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's website, under their privacy policy, not ours.
Children
This site is meant for working adults and for firms that hire them. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
