For hiring firms
01Who do you place?
Litigation attorneys (associates, partners, and specialized litigators) and the legal support staff around them: paralegals, legal assistants, and office managers. Most of our work is in Florida, and we recruit nationwide when a firm needs our help.
02How long until I see candidates?
We aim to bring you vetted candidates within weeks, not months. For context: our process filled two attorney roles for one law firm client in two months. The first position was filled in five weeks. Timelines vary with practice area, seniority, and how narrow the role is, and we will tell you honestly what to expect on the first call.
03Do you guarantee the placement?
We offer a 90 day guarantee. If a candidate we place leaves or is terminated within the first 90 days of employment for reasons related to performance, skills, or cultural fit, we will conduct a full replacement search at no additional fee.
04How is HunterLex different from posting the job ourselves?
A posting brings you applicants; we bring you candidates. Firms hiring are usually already buried in work and get overwhelmed by unqualified applications, including people who haven't passed the bar applying for associate roles. We do what you would do with unlimited time: go find the right people instead of waiting for them to apply, and only present attorneys who can actually do the work in your practice area.
05Is my search confidential?
Yes. Confidential searches are routine: replacing a partner quietly, testing the market, or building a practice you are not ready to announce. Your firm's name is not disclosed until you say so.
06Do you place outside litigation?
Litigation is our specialty because that is where client demand and our track record are strongest. We do place attorneys in transactional practice areas when firms have specific needs. Examples include Corporate, Probate & Estate, Real Estate and Intellectual Property to name a few.
For attorneys & staff
07Does it cost me anything as a candidate?
No. Candidates never pay a fee. Our fees are paid by the hiring firm.
08Will my current firm find out I'm looking?
Not from us. Your resume is never sent anywhere without your explicit approval of the specific firm and role.
09Nothing on your jobs page fits. Should I still reach out?
Yes. Many searches are never posted, and relationships built now often lead to the right seat later. Send your resume and tell us what you want: practice area, geography, and the kind of firm you want to be at. Perhaps we can offer a second set of eyes or some encouragement.
