Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sophisticated litigation matters from inception through resolution and trial.
- Develop and execute case strategy.
- Handle complex discovery and take and defend depositions.
- Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions.
- Work with expert witnesses and prepare matters for hearings and trial.
- Advise clients regarding litigation strategy, risk assessment, and settlement.
- Work directly with partners, clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Participate meaningfully in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Qualifications:
- Active California Bar license required.
- 3 to 5+ years of strong, substantive civil litigation experience.
- Significant hands-on experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, oral advocacy, judgment, and client-management skills.
- First- or second-chair trial experience strongly preferred.
- Strong established law firm experience preferred.
